I was in Restoration Hardware today waitinf for Daniella to pick out Sconces today. There I was, playing solitaire on my Moto Q, sitting in a Brown Leather Chair I always think I would by myself if I could afford one.
BOOM!!!!
That song by Eric Clapton, "In my Fathers Eyes" comes on.
I start Tearing up... Right there in Restoration Hardware.
I dont know what it was, the fact that that song reminds me that Eric Claptons four year old son jumped out a window, or maybe it was I just spent the day with my dad for his birthday. I also recently read about Rev Run's wife dying in Childbearth, I dont know, but if it had taken Daniella a little longer to find just the right kind of brushed metal towel fixture, I would have been full on sobbing.
Luckily, we got out of there pretty quick, and I was off to Best Buy to buy Madden 07 for my PSP, so I can spend the full six hours of my upcoming flight to LA playing Video Games.
Though I just did download that song.

The language of the gods...
There has been a debate going on amongst some of my friends in the comedy community about the new show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
One of the contentions is that Aaron Sorkin (the writer of the program) uses a dialogue that is similar in all his shows, and even some of the scenes seem to be recycled from previous projects of his. Thus, the term SORKINESE has been born.
I want my own language. I have cool sayings, my banter with my friends is kind of fast. Thus the term, APALLIAN, has been born. And by born I mean, I just came up with it, and have put it on my blog, and naturally expect it to sweep the nation within days. The language has been cultivated by various pop culture icons, comedian buddies and teachers, and stoner mythology.
So, heres a little bit of APALLIAN for you to mix in to your borin everyday english language.
